With Love Martha began with a quiet conviction — that the support we offer one another at the end of life should be thoughtful, unhurried, and delivered with genuine care.

I had the honour of walking with my beautiful friend of twenty-two years to the very end of her life. Hers was a beautiful death, and I feel deeply privileged to have witnessed and been part of it. Around the same time, I watched a close family member's end-of-life journey unfold quite differently — marked by anxiety, by fear, and by the kind of uncertainty that lingers long after a person is gone.

Sitting with both of those experiences, I came to understand that the difference between them was not the loss itself. It was the presence — or absence — of gentle guidance, of small comforts, of someone to help the people around the bedside know what to expect.

Over time, that understanding became my work. I began designing support kits for the people in the room — for those who are dying, and for the family, friends and carers walking beside them— because everyone deserves to approach the end of their life with comfort, peace and connection.
